résumé anglais
This anthology gathers together essays by 21 of the leading American authors and social leaders, writing on the topic of race. Recounting their personal experiences of race and racism in the U.S.A, these authors also explore the broader social context within which these experiences are located. The main premise of this anthology, is to give people an opportunity to talk about race, and to arrive at a better understanding of the reality of American society, as well as deriving a common hope for the future.

To make systems equitable we need first to acknowledge their colossal unseen dimensions. The silences and denials surrounding privilege are the key..It is not a matter for blame or guilt. We did not ask to be born into these systems. But having seen them, we can if we wish take some responsibility for using unearned power to share power.
