Lifetime Achievement Award

The CRRF Award for Lifetime Achievement was established in 2003 to acknowledge and honour individuals who promote the principles outlined in the Canadian Human Rights Act and who have made a significant contribution towards positive race relations in Canada.

The first recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award was the Honourable Lincoln Alexander, former Lieutenant Governor of Ontario and founding Chair of the Canadian Race Relations Foundation, followed by Madame Louise Arbour, former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights in 2006.
