This video is part of the Classroom Connections series and was produced in 2004. It is an educational resource intended to support education in global issues, sustainable development, social justice and active citizenship. It is designed for use in grades 10, 11 and 12 classrooms and can be applied to subjects such as Social Studies, History, Geography, Politics, Law, World Issues, Sociology and Psychology. The classroom video itself explores three local initiatives as examples, such as water harvesting in India. However, the video also includes a teacher’s guide with student activities regarding these issues. The package for the video includes a link to their website which provides additional excellent resource material for teachers. www.cultivatingpeace.ca
