This is an informative resource guide on the Mi'kmaq/Aboriginal Peoples, compiled by the Native Council of Nova Scotia (NCNS). It provides a historical representation of the Mi'kmaq/Aboriginal Peoples, along with information about the NCNS, its mission, and the ways they provide assistance to protect and maintain their communities. In addition, the guide also describes relevant services provided within their communities, which connect individuals with services in the areas of education, employment and employment training, child help initiative programming, prenatal programs, counselling, language, housing and housing commissions, shelters and charities, and local community publications.
