CRRF Supports  the "New Wave Project of the First Nation Community of Kanhiote Tyendinaga Territory"

The objective of the Next Wave Project was to assist in the promotion of the services provided by First Nation libraries in their respective communities and to provide opportunities fo the very talented young Aboriginal fiddlers participating in the Métis Artist Collective's Elder Youth Fiddle Stories to share their enthusiasm for this unique Aboriginal music tradition with other First Nation Young people and with the broader community.

"…the support of the Canadian Race Relations Foundation for the Next Wave is very much appreciated and we believe helped to highlight the contributions of our First Nations peoples by bringing the uniquely aboriginal musical heritage of the Métis fiddle tradition to the community of Kanhiote Tyendinaga Territory. "
