THE FIFTH AWARD OF EXCELLENCE IN ANTI-RACISM PRESENTATION AND SYMPOSIUM HOSTED BY THE CANADIAN RACE RELATIONS FOUNDATION - APRIL 30-MAY 2, 2008 The Canadian Race Relations Foundation (CRRF) hosts the fifth Award of Excellence in anti-racism best practices presentation and symposium under the theme: What is Canadian Racism? starting Wednesday, April 30 to Friday, May 2, 2008 at the Coast Plaza Hotel and Conference Centre in Calgary, Alberta.

The Award of Excellence to the best anti-racism program will be announced on May 1st, selected from seven finalists: Le Carrefour BLE (Quebec); The Centre for Research-Action on Race Relations (Quebec); The Chinese Canadian National Council (Ontario); "The Great White North Project: Exploring Whiteness, Privilege, Racism and Identity in Canada", the University of Calgary (Alberta); SaskTel (Saskatchewan); the Universite du Quebec a  Montreal who produced "La Lecon de discrimination", and the Youth Action Network (Ontario) Some of the highlights of the three days are as follows (Additional details at crrf-fcrr.ca):
