Québec, Québec - The CRRF is pleased to endorse the “Whose History for Whose Future?” conference, hosted by the Association for Canadian Studies (ACS) and will be in attendance at the Conference

The event, co- chaired by Dr. Jocelyn Létourneau and Christian Laville, from Laval University, will take place at the Hotel PUR in Quebec City, October 24-26, 2008. The 2008 edition of the event will highlight international comparisons in the teaching of history with expert panelists from various countries throughout the world.

 Programme

The conference will look at the ways teaching might be most effectively taught and will address current issues in communicating history. The program features leading professors, researchers, organizations, government departments, museums, media, school teachers and experts from around the world.

Speakers

Over 80 individuals are featured on the program from various parts of Canada as well as a number of countries throughout the world.

Other Events

Four History related conferences will be held the same weekend in Quebec City.

National, regional and local organizations are involved as partners, sponsors and exhibitors. The conference also features a learning Exhibition with kiosks from a number of organizations.
