For centuries, herbs and plants have been used for medicinal purposes in Asian and
Western cultures. Naturopathic doctor Christine Nguyen will address how traditional
herbal medicinal practices are being combined with modern science to treat and prevent
illness. Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada research scientist Dr. Ernie Small will also
present some of the newest commercially successful medicinal herbs.
