  • The CRRF offers its course ‘Foundations in Equity and Anti-Racism: Towards an Inclusive School Practice’, to Faculty of Education students experiencing the effects of the strike at York University, in Ontario.

    This six session course will support future educators by deepening their awareness and understanding of the implications of diversity, equity and racism in schools today. The course will provide practical strategies and resources for the school and the classroom, with an emphasis on turning theory into practice. This course has been delivered to teachers currently in service at both the Hamilton and Toronto school boards. A certificate of completion will be awarded to all participants.
     

    Dates:

    • December 9, 11, 16 from 10am-4pm 
    • December 18, 2008, from 10am - 12:00 noon.

    Location:

    • CRRF office 4576 Yonge Street, Suite 701, Willowdale, Ontario.

    Le cours "Fondement à l'équité et à la lutte contre le racisme : pratiques d'inclusion en milieu scolaire" est offert par la Fondation et sera présenté aux étudiants de la Faculté de pédagogie subissant les répercussions de la grève en cours à l'Université York (Ontario).
     
    Le cours comportant six volets vise à sensibiliser davantage les futurs éducateurs à la diversité, à l'équité et au racisme dans les écoles et à mieux en comprendre la portée. Des ressources et des stratégies concrètes applicables à l'école et dans la classe y sont offertes, l'accent portant sur la mise en application de la théorie. Le cours a été présenté à des enseignants des conseils scolaires de Toronto et d'Hamilton à titre de formation en cours d'emploi. Un certificat d'achèvement est remis à tous les participants.

    • 9, 11 et 16 décembre, de 10 h à 16 h
