    Pour souligner le 60e anniversaire de la Déclaration universelle des droits de la personne des Nations-Unis, l’Association d’études canadiennes (AEC) tiendra en collaboration avec la Fondation Pierre Elliot Trudeau et le John Humphrey Center for Peace and Human Rights un congrès le 9 décembre 2008 à McGill University à Montréal. L’évènement sera un dialogue national sur les droits de la personne certains des principaux universitaires, juristes et représentants d’organismes non gouvernementaux au Canada et à travers le monde. Les délégués inscrits sont aussi invités à assister à un évènement qui fait parti du congrès sur l’œuvre et les accomplissements du Sénateur Jacques Hébert qui aura lieu le 8 décembre 2008 à McGill University.

    To mark the 60th anniversary of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights the Association for Canadian Studies in collaboration with the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation and The John Humphrey Center for Peace and Human Rights will be holding a major conference which will take place on December 9, 2008 at McGill University in Montreal. The event is designed to provide for a national conversation on human rights and feature presentations by leading Canadian and international academics, jurists and representatives of various non-governmental organizations. Registered delegates are also invited to attend a special event on the work and accomplishments of the late Senator Jacques Hébert to be held December 8th at McGill University as well.
